I have a stomachache. It's crappy.

Well, "Lestat"'s reviews have come out. I, for one, am not surprised that it's bad. The book is a mess, the lyrics are horrible. When the best part of the show is the costumes, you know you're in trouble. On the other hand, I am disappointed that the new revival of "The Threepenny Opera" hasn't gotten good reviews. Even though I hate Alan Cumming, I still wanted it to be good. Cyndi's in it and she looks fantastic! (See my icon...) And Nellie McKay is supposed to be good. Hopefully they record it just so I can have Cyndi's "Solomon's Song" on repeat forever.

I was bored yesterday, being stuck home with the upset stomach, and I made a list of my favorite showtunes. I have 271 so far! How sad is that? My Top Ten:

01. Some Enchanted Evening - South Pacific
02. Johanna, Part III - Sweeney Todd
03. Lily's Eyes - The Secret Garden
04. On My Own - Les Miserables
05. Lot's Wife - Caroline, or Change
06. Try to Remember - The Fantasticks
07. Send in the Clowns - A Little Night Music
08. Don't Marry Me - Flower Drum Song
09. I Don't Know How to Love Him - Jesus Christ Superstar
10 (tie). Suddenly Seymour - Little Shop of Horrors
10 (tie). Somewhere - West Side Story

Yes, I know that "On My Own" is cliche and that the different "Johanna"s aren't really numbered. I don't care. BUT, see how productive I am when I'm bored!

Current Music:
Taylor the Latte Boy - Kristin Chenoweth

Get well soon! There is a recording of the Australian cast with Anthony Warlow and Philip Quast but amazon doesn't seem to have it. It's supposed to be fantastic but it's extremely short: only 8 songs if I'm not wrong.

You can get AW and PQ's "Lily's Eyes" from Limewire though. Ssh, I didn't say that ;)

Thanks for the offer :)

AW + PQ + Lily's Eyes = complete utter love. We watched Chicago in History today and I died a little inside too everytime Taye came onscreen. But one of my friends adores him too so I don't feel so pathetically fangirly.

Random: I know that Cyndi Lauper's probably fantastic in "The Threepenny Opera" but your icon freaks me out a little. Maybe it's the wig.
